Cross-training is a great way to stay in shape while recovering from injury. It can also be a great way to help prevent injury by reducing load on the body. If you are someone who is injury-prone, cross-training + a little bit of weightlifting can be really helpful! I had to cross train for around 10 weeks due to a cuboid bone bruise during my very last year of collegiate running-- and I HATED it. But I got through it, and you will too.
